Hi & thanks for visiting Smitten Blog Designs! We are a Portland based design company that first started sharing free blogger templates in August of 2008. Shortly after, we received many custom requests and started designing custom blogs for clients. Now we have built a collection of hundreds of free templates, free printables and custom blog project–and we love doing all of it! Meet our team of talented designers below and shoot us an email if you want your blog design to be next!
Kate lives in Portland, OR and keeps busy with a baby boy and a 4-yr-old daughter. Kate and Heather worked together to start Smitten Blog Designs, LLC while living across the street from one another. Besides a passion for daily designing she enjoys diy projects (that don’t take too much time or skill!), reading, listening to her husband, Josh, play guitar, blog surfing (especially on Pinterest!), and dreams of going back to Europe one day. Some other faves are Diet Coke, Red Vines and wearing jeans.
Heather has 3 busy little kiddos ranging from ages 3 to 7 and is a native of the rainy Northwest. After teaching elementary school for a few years, Heather kept up her passion for teaching and learning. She began to research blogging and designing and co-founded Smitten Blog Designs, LLC to share her designs with others. She is an avid runner, enjoys baking and doing projects with her kids, speaks Chinese fluently, and loves the color pink!
Jacquelinne studied interior design in college and was selected immediately after graduation by a celebrated firm in Orem, Utah. She had the privilege of working with a design principal who, not only was fantastically accomplished in the area of interior design, but was also a brilliant graphic designer. It was from this experience that Jacquelinne grew to love graphic design and truly began to appreciate all of the little details. After having her first baby (she now has 2 girls!) and becoming a stay-at-home mom, Jacquelinne found a great love for blogging. This new love affair stemmed her curiosity for blog customization and design; and has since grown into a wonderfully addicting hobby!
Brooke has always loved art!–from coloring as a child, drawing in high school, and graphic design in college. In recent years, she developed a love for photography and has had fun to combining all of her creative outlets into one. She’s worked as a marketing director for close to five years and has enjoyed bringing her creativity into the business world. Her style is clean and simple with a twist, but she loves to try new concepts too. Brooke loves the world of design and is so glad to be on the team of awesome designers at Smitten!
Arianne grew up in Nampa, ID with 2 sisters and a brother. She went to BYU where she graduated in Sociology and also met her husband, Keith. They spent time in California and Indiana and now call Oregon home. After working for several years in the non-profit and social work sector, Arianne now enjoys staying home with her 2 little girls, Kallie and Charlotte. Arianne took a Photoshop class for one of her former jobs and has been hooked ever since. In her free time she loves to design, do anything crafty or creative and is a big fan of Zumba.
Christine lives in Dayton, Ohio and has always been very passionate about graphic design. At 18 she received her Associates of Arts degree and has continued her education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. As soon as she discovered her passion for blog designing, she could not imagine a better job. Christine is married to her childhood sweetheart, Patrick, who is a physician in the US Air Force. Her three kids (ages 1, 5 and 7) and small herd of animals (two dogs and three cats) keep her busy as well. Christine has an eclectic love of design style and appreciates everything form vintage to modern design. Christine also loves spending time with her family, thunderstorms, and anything lemon-scented.
Kendra hails from a state full of Southern Hospitality, ice-cold sweet tea, and people who say y’all way more often than necessary. She has taught herself everything she knows in Blog and Web design and continues to research the latest market trends to further her knowledge. When she’s not trying to help make the internet a prettier place, you can find her pushing her son on the swings, catching fireflies, making mudpies, and racing Hot Wheel cars down the sidewalk. She also enjoys baking (and eating) massive amounts of cupcakes, working out to cancel out the effects of aforementioned cupcakes, trying to learn how to poof her hair, and watching shows that don’t involve cartoon characters. If there is any time left over after doing all that, she blogs, tweets, and stalks friends on Facebook.
